Wheels Save Lives
In the first few days of the first earthqauke, we were still trying to ensure the safety of our own near and dear ones. Once we ascertained their safety, we knew we had to do something of our own to help those in need.
Playing to our strengths, we organized transportation for any aid or relief effort distributing food, shelter or medicines. We asked friends and family to support us, and they did. Some volunteered their own cars and SUVs, others supported us with donations. We managed to raise more than NRP 600,000 in 2 weeks and deployed 58 vehicles in total. Some trips were small errands around town, picking up supplies and personnel; other trips were larger trucks transporting medical teams, foodstuff and tarpaulins.
